Neil Paterson I think the bridge over the railway on the left is Timberlog Lane, so the photo is looking north with Vange below the railway and Barstable above. The road on the right hand side would be Sandon Road.
Ray Prince Wow. Great photo. I've not seen it before. I agree with Neil Paterson's comment regarding location. I would guess that the photograph was taken in the mid to late 1950s.
Lin Woodward Wow yes this is spot on. It shows the land where my house was built. My old nan and aunts plotlands house and land was. The house where my mum lived at the corner of Luncies Road. And the land in Whitmore Way before Matching Green was built in Linford Dr. It also shows Craylands School where my mum dad and then I went. So much family History in this one photo. I’d say this was about 1952 as I was born in 1955 and my mum and dad had by then moved into Matching Green when they got married in 1953.

WHen I saw this a few weeks ago I had a guess that Neil, Ray and Lin have confirmed.
